Florence Vinton, 103, of Aurora, IL, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. Born in For Atkinson, WI, as one of ten children to Bertha and Carl Dragert, Florence moved to Chicago and was an avid sports fan- especially of the Chicago Cubs. With her late husband, William she had two children- Vicki (the late Randy) Jadczak and William (Karen) Vinton. She survived by her two children, five grandchildren- Kelli (Gerard) McGuane, Brook (Joe Chavez) Jadczak, Heather (Chris) Gedvilas, Kevin Serek, and Christopher (Danielle) Vinton; and seven great grandchildren – Gavin, Garrett, Molli, Tess, and Griffin McGuane, Carter Gedvilas, and Baby Vinton. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, William Vinton; her parents, Bertha and Carl; and her nine siblings. Her family would like to thank the staff at the Bickford Cottage of Oswego where Florence spent the last few years of her life for the excellent care she received.
