Faith Baumann passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 12, 1931 in Mackinaw City, MI the daughter of the late George and Edna Ranville. Being the middle child of nine "9", 8 girls and 1 boy. Faith met Bill Baumann while he was serving on the US Coast Guard Ice Breaker Mackinaw. Sparks flew so Bill and Faith got married on August 25, 1951 a week after Bill was discharged from the service. They came to Aurora, IL to live and Faith joined St. Paul Lutheran Church where Bill had gone to grade school and church. Faith sang in the choir over 50 years, belonged to the Tabitha Guild and Women's Bible Study Class led by her friend Wanda Horton. Faith also was a better than average golfer, bowler (Winning the singles and doubles with her partner Nita Hacker) Aurora Women's Bowling Tournament and liked playing Bingo. Faith lived up to her name having strong belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith did not work in her years of having her five children Bill (Teri) Baumann, Mike (Martha) Baumann, Cheryl (Jim) Johnson, Jeff Baumann, Marie Stevens, ten grandchildren Carl (Laura), Kelly (Ondrie), Leslie (deceased), Kathryn, Jim, Wade, (Caitlyn), John (Cari), David (Rachel), Brittany, Brandon, six great grandchildren Lucca, Liam, Emma, Jacey, Juliette, and William, two sisters Martha (Bud) Darrow, Celeste (David) Jewel, her brother Edward (Vivian, deceased) Ranville and two brother in laws Fred Thompson, Sr., Dennis Clark, also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters Eleanor, Kathryn, Aurelia, Rosalie, Georgiana and three brother in laws Irv McIsac, Bill Ogle and Jack Hartman. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at St Paul Lutheran Church 85 S Constitution Drive in Aurora, IL from 9:30 AM until a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
