F. Gale Teats, age 82, of Oswego, IL, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 with his wife, son, daughter, sister and grandchildren by his side at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on June 14, 1935 in Denver, CO, the son of Clarence Earl and Helen Elaine nee Adams Teats. Gale attended the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO from 1953 to 1956. He married Carolyn Askew on December 29, 1955. Prior to his retirement, Gale worked for Argonne National Laboratory in the chemical engineering department for 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Carolyn Teats, children Bill (Debi) Teags, Missey De Hoyos, grandchildren Schiavonn (Robert) Hasslinger, Amanda Teags, Mark (Jennifer Popp) Marshall, Antoinette Marshall, Nigel (Ellen) Teags, Tim Teats, great grandchildren Brodie Hasslinger, Mason Hasslinger and a sister Peggy Suzanne (Bob) Peacock. He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest son Byron Teats. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in honor of Gale's long life.
