Evelyn Floydly Moran, age 94, of Montgomery, IL, passed away on December 17, 2024, at Rush Copley Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born on October 11, 1930, in Elba Township, Winona County, MN to Floyd and Eva Velma Gable (Rouse).

Evelyn and her husband, Francis (Frank) Moran met in La Crosse, WI and were married on December 8, 1951, in Winona, MN. They moved to Aurora, IL after Frank was discharged from the Army and were married for 31 years until Frank's passing in 1983. They raised 4 children together, Tim, Marsha, Tom and Melody. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she especially enjoyed gardening. You could find her many afternoons tending to her plants and flowers in her garden.

Evelyn was very kind, caring and compassionate and her love for Jehovah and her family knew no bounds. She loved her children and grandchildren very deeply and always made sure everyone was well taken care of. She was very compassionate about animals as well, especially her dogs and cats. The family had several dogs and cats for pets throughout the years.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Eva, stepmother Margaret, her husband Frank, her brothers and sisters, Earl, Bob, Julianne, Luanna, Duke and Lee. She is survived by her children Timothy Moran (Jeri), Marsha Becker (Daniel), Thomas Moran, and Melody Moran Bliss, Grandchildren: Andrea Kauffman, William Moran, Matthew Moran, Ash Moran, Nicholas Moran, Jacqueline Parker, Beverly Carr, Lee Bliss, Mitchell Bliss, Timothy Bliss, Sierra Rabuck and 22 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
