Elsie Bokuniewicz, 96, of Oswego, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at her home. She was born November 19, 1923 in Chicago, IL. Elsie was employed at Mrs. Sittlers Candies in Cicero, IL for many years. She enjoyed Bingo, gambling in Las Vegas, and baking for her family. Elsie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include son, Michael (Katherine) Bokuniewicz; her daughter, Kathleen Bokuniewicz; her grandchildren, Megan Bokuniewicz and Stephanie (Armando) Aviles; great grandchildren: Nicole, Aiden, Benjamin and Miguel; her sister, Helen Trzyna; many nieces and nephews; and her loving friends, Don and Barb Gravel, and Henry the dog. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Bokuniewicz; her parents, Franciszek and Rozalia Partyka; a sister and several brothers. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL 60543, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake, IL.
