Elmer Eugene Wilcox, Sr., age 70, of Marseilles, IL died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 11, 1945 in Ottawa, IL the son of the late Walter Harold and Edith Marie (Nettleson) Wilcox. Prior to his retirement after 32 years he was employed at All-Steel Equipment Co in Montgomery, IL in various department/job titles. He was a member of the West Prairie Worship Center in Aurora, IL. Elmer is survived by his wife Shirley A (Miller) Wilcox, whom he married on August 17, 1963 in Aurora, IL, a daughter Stacey (Chris Holland) Fowler of Aurora, IL, three sons Elmer E (Vicky) Wilcox, Jr. of Sesser, IL, Randy (Kathy Sampson) Wilcox of Marseilles, IL, Michael (Janel) Wilcox of Machesney Park, IL, two grandchildren Brittani (Jayson Ramos) Fowler, Curt D (Regeanna) Wilcox, seven great grandchildren Isaac Ramos, Aleesia Ramos, Jayden Ramos, Gracie Ramos, Cambria Wilcox, Alayna Wilcox, Jade Sampson, one sister, five brothers, his best friend, his dog, Freckle Sassy, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter Destinee Fowler, three sisters, six brothers and a son in law James W Fowler. Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 16. 2016 from 9:30 AM until the funeral service at 11:30 AM at the West Prairie Worship Center 39W550 Prairie St Aurora, IL with Pastor Don Pounds, officiating. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, IL.
