Elijah Jamarion McDuffie, affectionately known as "EJ" was born July 13, 2007, in Aurora, IL to Chamise Jones and Kendall McDuffie. EJ is the youngest of his 3 siblings.

EJ was quiet but always stood out in a room. Partially because of his height, lol, but mainly because of his beautiful spirit and contagious smile. EJ had a love for music, basketball, gaming, and most of all his friends. Through his love of gaming, he bonded with so many people who most became great friends and a major part of his life. EJ was a sweet soul who accepted ANYONE from ALL WALKS of life. The best part of him was his big heart. EJ never judged or condemned people but only accepted them for who they were. As quoted by one of EJ's past teachers his passing is a "loss to not only our Family, but the community as well." EJ attended OEHS and would have been a Junior this fall.

As just Sweet 16, Elijah gained his wings. On Thursday July 27th, 2023, Elijah retuned to God. Ej was proceeded in death by his Grandfather Vernon, his Grandmother Velma, his older sister Naeemah "Nay Nay" and his nephew Baby Quan. He is survived by his Father Kendall, his Mother Chamise, his older bothers Quan & Lil Ken and his Grandmother Victoria and his Grandfather PJ. His nephews who he so adored Zi'Aire & Legend. His niece Aleithea and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, Grandparents & Friends.

Visitation for EJ will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service 12:00 NOON at the Dunn Family Funeral Home 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, Illinois 60543.
