Our beloved father, Elemer A. Halvax of Montgomery Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the age of 91, at Accent Care Hospice, in Naperville, Illinois.

Elemer was born on December 15, 1933, the only child of Vincent and Elizabeth nee Domonkos Halvax in Sopron Hungary. He was the devoted husband, of 61 years, to the late Clara G. nee Kovacs Halvax and loving father of four children Andrea Stewart of Oswego, IL., Anthony (Penny) Halvax of Plainfield, IL., Timothy (Liz) Halvax of Oswego, IL., and Thomas (Lauren) Halvax of South Carolina. Grandfather of eleven grandchildren Amy Joseph, Scott and Amanda Stewart, Ryan and Tara Halvax, Jaclyn Ferrer, Matthew and Steven Halvax, Thomas and Tia Halvax, and Anne Defottie. Six great grandchildren Jesse and Logan Ferrer, Nolan Peterson, Olivia Dillard, Noa Joseph and Leo Halvax.

Elemer immigrated with his parents to the United States during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. He married the love of his life Clara on July 1. 1961.

Elemer was a foreign car specialist and the proud owner of Elemer's Garage for many years until his retirement in 1999.

Elemer was truly the life of every party. He enjoyed singing, dancing, and entertaining everyone with his hilarious stories. He lovingly called his wife, "The Wardon", when she tried to keep him in check. He loved his family, his many friends, and his loyal companion, Gia (poopie).

Elemer was a member and usher, for many years, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Aurora, IL. He was also a member of Luxie Club, Turner Club, and the Aurora Moose. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, skiing, hunting, and was an avid fisherman.

Elemer provided a wonderful life for his family. Although he will be deeply missed, his family is at peace knowing he is once again reunited with his loving wife Clara and parents.

Elemer was proceeded in death by his wife Clara nee Kovacs, parents Vincent and Elizabeth nee Domonkos Halvax, and son-in-law Jeffrey Stewart.

A memorial gathering will take place at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL. 60543, on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM until time of service at 6:30 PM.
