Edward D. Niesen Jr, age 72 of Yorkville, IL, peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 3, 1946 in Aurora, IL, the son of Edward D. and Dorothy D. nee Harnly Niesen. Edward was a United Stated Air Force Veteran. On June 7 1969 he married his wife Catherine Niesen. He worked at Caterpillar Manufacturing and Assembling before his retirement in 2002. He loved woodworking, hunting, fishing, trap-shooting, and was a member of the National Rifle Association He is survived by his wife of 49 years Catherine Niesen, four daughters Deborah (Robert) Weaver of Cerro Gordo, IL; Donna (William) Ward of Plano, IL; Danette (Jamie) Paul of Joliet, IL; Darlene Niesen of Yorkville, IL; and three grandchildren, Jaden, Ethan, and Carson Paul of Joliet, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM at the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ, 409 Center Parkway Yorkville, IL 60560.
