Edward J. Hein, Jr. died January 13, 2022, in Daytona Beach Florida. Formerly of Chicago.

Ed was a retired Illinois Bell Telephone company employee, where he worked as a cable splicer for 25 years. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army. He enjoyed the beach, Chicago Bears and Black Hawks.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Sallie Hein, his sister Kristina Koleff and nephew Edward Koleff.

Survived by his loving partner of 25 years Kathy McCreery.  His daughter Rachel (James) Canfield; grandchildren Keith, Adam, Ross and Max; brothers Joseph (Denise) and Alan (Christine)Hein.

Ed enjoyed a very close relationship with his favorite niece Anne.

He is also survived by other nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service 12:00 NOON.

Inurnment will follow at Pearce Cemetery.
