Edward P Berwanger, age 85, formerly of Oswego, IL and Bradenton, FL. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at his granddaughter's home, in Mulkeytown, IL, surrounded by family and his devoted companion dog at his feet. He was born May 8, 1931 in Calumet City, IL the son of the late Edward P and Ruby E (Galbriath) Berwanger, Sr. Ed was employed at Material Service Corp in the redi-mix division as a yard man for 32 years prior to his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Valley Baptist Church in Oswego, IL and Colonial Baptist Church in Bradenton, FL. Survivors include two daughters Debbie Moris of Mulkeytown, IL, Gayle Berwanger of Springhill, FL, a son Mark (Connie) Berwanger of Oswego, IL, nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, a sister Rosie (Alvin) Henry, also by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Nadine (Chapman) Berwanger and sister Helen Henson. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 1:00 PM until a memorial service at 2:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 South Douglas Rd Oswego, IL with Pastor David Hemphill conducting. Private inurnment of the cremains of Nadine and Edward will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, IL.
