Edward G. Arnold Jr., age 61 of Oswego, IL peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born December 22, 1960 in Aurora, IL; the son of the late Edward "Gene" and Cathryn nee Berkes Arnold, Sr. Ed attended East Aurora schools, Waubonsee Community College and earned a degree in Music Education from Northern Illinois University in 1984. Ed was an accomplished, highly skilled woodworker and musician. He first worked as a manager of Arby's until 1989 and then began his career at Designed Stairs until 2009. During that time he also served as Choir/Music ministry director at St. Luke's Lutheran Church from 1985-2001. He then started doing remodeling and handyman tasks. Ed created his own business, Ed's Urns, Plaques, Memorials and Laser Engraving. His skills in woodworking brought comfort to many local families. Ed's joy was leading others in worship through song at St. Luke's and as a member of Harvest New Beginnings Church choir. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diane nee Bogda Arnold, two sons Edward "Eddie" Arnold, III, James Arnold of Oswego, sister Sara Arnold of Jerusalem, Israel, sister-in-law Leslie (David) He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Clifford and Marilyn Bogda and sister-in-law Nancy Etheredge. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be at Harvest New Beginnigs Church, 5315 Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL 60543, Saturday March 19, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials can de directed to Wayside Cross Ministries, 215 E.
