Douglas Charles Boehmke, age 74, of Sheridan, IL, passed away with his loving family by his side at his residence in Sheridan, IL. He was born March 22, 1947 in Chicago, IL, the son of Charles Fredrick and Marion Emma nee Briggs Boehmke. Doug proudly served his country in the US Air Force as a Sergeant during the Vietnam Conflict. After his honorable discharge, Doug worked as an engineer with Caterpillar until his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed cars and belonged to many car clubs in the area. He is survived by his children Dawn (John) Manion, Denise Boehmke, Alex (Lynne) Boehmke, grandchildren Tia Manion, Charles Manion, Casie (Steven) Price, Alyssa Warren, Starrlee Rogers, Lillianna Domko, Bailey Wheatland, great-grandchildren Aiden, Carter, Ethan, Kaelin, Tyler and the mother of his children Patricia Boehmke. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Delores, and a brother Wayne.
