Lois Joan Dorsett, 80, of Ottawa formerly of Sheridan died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa. Lois was born May 24, 1934 in Millington to Cecil Howard & Nellie (Pederson) Gwin. She married Charles William Dorsett October 22, 1957 in Ottawa. Charles passed April 20, 1974. She had been a resident of Ottawa since 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (John) Rose of Spokane, WA.; two sons, Michael (Diane) Severns of Plano, Robert Dorsett of Sycamore; five grandchildren, Stephanie Crandall Morton, Carrie Frank, Roy Severns, Charles Severns, Michael Severns and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; a son, William Dorsett; a granddaughter, Betty Severns; a brother, Howard Gwin; two sisters, Violet Gwin-Worley and Ruth Gwin-Johnson-Boldt. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Oakridge Cemetery in Sandwich with Pastor Hyo-Sun Ho officiating. Arrangements are by the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd in Sheridan.
