Donna Marie Cantalupo, 58, of Oswego, IL, passed away at her home on January 15, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born in Peoria to James and Rose Marie (Gebhardt) Slattery. Donna married Mark Cantalupo on June 16, 1990. They would go on to share many happy years together, and have three children- Alex, Adam, and Abbie. After becoming a mother, Donna opened and operated a home daycare center for many years. She was a selfless and nurturing woman, who loved being a wife, mother, and caretaker. Along with her beloved family, Donna loved her pets, and really all animals. She enjoyed gardening, photography, and was always working on a craft or home project. Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Mark Cantalupo, and her three children, Alex, Adam, and Abbie Cantalupo. She is also survived by her three siblings, Mike (Mary) Slattery, Mary Ann (Dan) Krammen, and Pete (Lori) Slattery. She was the loving Aunt Donna to her nieces and nephews, and the beloved Miss Donna to the many children she cared for in her home. She is preceded in death by her father, James Slattery. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Dunn Family Funeral Home, 1801 S. Douglas Rd. Oswego, IL 60543.
