Donald Erwin Hacker, age 87, passed away on December 2, 2020, at the LaSalle Veterans Home in LaSalle Illinois. Don was born in Westmont, Illinois to Adolf and Marie (Hirmann) Hacker. Don served in the Navy in the early 50's. While stationed on Guam, he worked with the firefighter crew. Upon his return home, he operated a roofing and construction business in the western suburbs before moving to south Florida. While in Florida, he learned the art of glassblowing which became a life long passion. Don moved to Oswego over 20 years ago to be nearer to his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Adolf, John, Steve and infant Leonard; his sisters Helen, Marie, Minnie, Rosie, and Lorraine. Don is survived by his sister Theresa (Syl) Becker, of Batavia, his children; Donald Jr. (Shirley) Hacker, of Newark; Colleen (Rich) Kent of Aurora; Jim (Deanne) Hacker of Leland; Jeff Hacker of Sandwich; Lynne (Bill) Mathey of Aurora; along with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
