Dolores E. Heidemann passed away on April 28, 2024 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 85. She was born in Chicago, IL to Herbert Niles and Eleanor (Treadwell) Niles. She was raised by Virgina (Johnson) Niles after her mother passed away and Herbert remarried.

Dee is survived by her husband of 66 years, Arthur Heidemann, Sr., her children Arthur (Cindy) Heidemann, Jr., Dawn (Alex) Izzo, Debbie (Kirk) Tjernagel, and grandchildren Rebecca Engels, Kaitlyn Tjernagel, and Cody Tjernagel.

Dee loved to spend time with her family and friends. She and her husband had many memorable RV vacations across the US and Canada. They had a seasonal site for many years that was their home away from home, and made many great friends and memories those years. She loved reading and gardening. In her senior years she became involved with the Red Hats, and enjoys the friendships and events that provided, which included charity work and marching in parades. Dee maintained an annual package to enjoy plays and musicals, which she enjoyed with her high school girlfriends for many years. She was a military wife, having lived in Georgia for a while and also held down the fort when her husband was stationed away from their home.
