Dennis F. Ziemer, age 75, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a fierce 7 year battle with prostate cancer. He was born July 9, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Ralph J. and Florence C. nee Belka Ziemer. Dennis served his country in the United States Air Force. After his discharge from the service, Dennis worked in the headquarters for Baggage Services at United Airlines and most recently at Churchill Club in Oswego, IL. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathy of Oswego, IL, sons Jeffrey Ziemer of Aurora, IL, Brian Ziemer of Montgomery, IL, Rob (Lisa) Ziemer of Yorkville, IL, grandchildren Joseph, Brittany (Josh) & Robby Ziemer, Deanna Chiappetta, great grandson Jaxon Ziemer, sisters Nancy (Jim) Feetterer of Crystal Lake, IL, sister-in-law Dorothy Haick of Plano, IL, and a cousin Karen Maertz of South Elgin, IL. Dennis loved his time in northern Wisconsin relaxing and enjoying time spent with his loving family. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Colette Ziemer, brother Philip Ziemer, sister-in-law Paula Ziemer and a brother-in-law Howard Haick. A gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the memorial service at 1:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S.
