Dennis L. Robertson, age 82, peacefully passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at Alden of Waterford in Aurora, IL.

He was born April 20, 1940, in Aurora, IL, the son of Stan and Margarite (nee Klein) Robertson.

He was a teacher at West Aurora High School in Aurora, IL from 1963 until his retirement in 2000. He taught History, Psychology and was the head of the AV Department. He touched many students lives by integrating course material with music and movies such as Young Frankenstein and Pink Floyd. Dennis was a great photographer photographing over 1,000 weddings. He was also an amateur astronomer and classic car enthusiast. He was a marvel at trivial pursuit (just not the sports category), strongly disliked bridge although he participated for the social aspect. He was a vegetarian since the age of eight even though he wasn't a fan of most vegetables. He was a classical man having visited numerous cathedrals and art museums throughout Europe, and he was very adventurous traveling with his wife to Egypt and Soviet Union. He was always up for a thoughtful conversation and a big bowl of Oberweis chocolate peanut butter ice cream.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy of 57 years, brother Jerry Robertson, brother-in-law Gerald (Audrey) Dummer and their children Dave (Christine), Brian (Leanne), Lisa (Tyson), Michelle and their children David, Evan, Nathan, Ben, Parker, Logan, and Mason, and Dennis's faithful companion, his rescue dog Cooper, along with numerous friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, favorite aunt Louise Friese, his basset hounds Sherlock, Amos, Andy, Amos II, Buckwheat, Huckleberry, Humphrey, and his dachshund Shaggy.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 9:30 A.M. until funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Oswego Presbyterian Church 1976 Rt. 25 Oswego, IL 60543.

Burial will follow at Oswego Township Cemetery.
