Delores R. (Scheidecker) Woodard died peacefully on December 8, 2023, at Bickford of Aurora, just four months shy of turning the big 1-0-0!

She was born March 12, 1924, daughter of Theodore E. & Mabel N. Scheidecker.

She was a 1942 East Aurora High School graduate. She was married on June 25, 1949, to Thomas G. Woodard, a 1942 West Aurora High School graduate. She was a charter member of Bethel Community Baptist Church and later attended First Baptist and New England Congregational.

Delores is survived by her son Jeffrey Woodard. Also survived by her grandchildren Aaron (Kelly) and Troy (Libby) and her great grandchildren Thomas, Addie, Gus, & Felix.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband in March 1989, her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne E. & Shirley M. Scheidecker, nephew, David D. Scheidecker, and her grandparents Fred W. and Elizabeth Sackett.

Delores wished for a small private service for her family.

In lieu of flowers, Delores requested that donations (whether it be time, money or just prayers) be made to Wayside Cross Ministries in Aurora (waysidecross.org).

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY.
