David Michael Thies, 56, of Oswego, IL died suddenly on Friday, August 9, 2024 at his residence. He was born December 29, 1967 in Melrose Park, IL.

He was a member of the Class of 1986 of Oak Park-River Forest High School in Oak Park, IL. He was the owner of Bases (a baseball training center) in Oswego, IL and he had worked at Water Products Co in Aurora, IL.

Survived by his mother Marilyn (David) Wrenn, daughter Sarah (Samuel) Silva, two sons Brendon (Jessica) Thies, and Anthony (Juliana) Scardina, sister Michelle (John) Kuethe, two brothers Ryan (Brandi) Thies, Jeff Pierce, also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father David Thies.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM until a short prayer at 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL. Cremation will follow.
