David L McCauley, age 80, of Montgomery, IL died Monday, March 19, 2018 at Alden of Waterford in Aurora, IL. He was born March 24, 1937 in Aurora, IL the son of the late Emmett M and Margaret E nee Schlapp McCauley. David served his country honorably with both the US Army and the USMC Reserves after high school. He was the owner/operator of McCauley Trucking LLC in Oswego, IL. He was a member of St Luke Lutheran Church in Montgomery, IL, Oswego American Legion Post #675 and the Aurora Kickers Club. David is survived by three daughters Kelli McCauley-Quaid of Montgomery, IL, Debbie (Ron) Woodrum of Oswego, IL, Mary (Glenn) McKittrick of Elburn, IL; six grandchildren Brooke Kinnaman, Amber (Mike) Braband, Jordan Woodrum, Skylr Quaid, David J McCauley, Kara McCauley; three great grandchildren Madison Schneider, Cali Braband, Duke Braband, two brothers Bob (Kathy) McCauley, Neal (Penny) McCauley, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine McCauley, son Kyle David McCauley, two brothers Rodney and Bill McCauley. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will take place at AuSable Cemetery in Yorkville, IL.
