Daryl J. Sharp, age 79, of Montgomery, IL, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Monday, July 9, 2018. He was born on July 4, 1939 in Worthington, MN, the son of the late John and Adeline Sharp. Daryl and his family are charter members of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Montgomery, IL. Prior to his retirement, Daryl worked 33 years as a security guard for Presence Mercy Hospital in Aurora, IL and 33 years for Lyon Metal in Montgomery, IL. He is survived by his four sons Todd (Lauren) Sharp of Ankeny, IA, Terry (Sherri) Sharp of Oswego, IL, Timothy Sharp of Montgomery, IL, Troy (Victoria Hornback) Sharp of Montgomery, IL, 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 4 brothers, Leroy (Cathy) "Stub" Sharp, Larry (Shirley) Sharp, Dwayne Sharp and Kevin (Diana) Sharp. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley (who passed away exactly one year ago) and daughter Laurie Ann Sharp. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A funeral service will be on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 63 Fernwood, Montgomery, IL 60538. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
