Darrell Austin Dorman, age 88, of Aurora and formerly of Montgomery, IL died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Bright Oaks of Aurora. He was born March 17, 1929 in Spencer, IA the son of the late Paul Austin and Corrine nee Johnson Dorman. He served his country honorably with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as an engineer for Wight & Co. of Downers Grove, IL until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church, Oswego American Legion Post #675, Oswego Lions Club and Iowa State University (Ames) Alumni Association. He is survived by two sons Steven (Donna) Dorman of Warrenville, IL, Michael (Pamela) Dorman of Aurora, IL; four grandchildren Matthew (Shawn) Dorman, Scott Dorman, Rachel (George) Hernandez, David Dorman; four great grandchildren Payton Dorman, Makenna Dorman, Rylee Dorman, Klayton Hernandez; a sister Joan H McAllister, a brother Lowell (Patricia) Dorman, also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his wife Barbara M Dorman on October 8, 2017 and a brother in law LaVerne McAllister. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Oswego Presbyterian Church 1976 Route 25 Oswego, IL. Inurnment of the cremains with military honors will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
