Daniel Joseph Dewey Jr. age 74 of Oswego, IL. At rest peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Rush Copley Medical Center, Aurora, IL. He was born March 12, 1950, in Buffalo NY, the son of Daniel J. Sr. and Florence nee Walkowiak. A proud member of Tri-State and Clarendon Heights fire protection districts for 13 years and retired as Lieutenant.

Dan is survived by his two sons Ryan (Melanie) and Christopher Sr., proud grandfather of Christopher Dewey Jr., Nicole Cooper, Anastasia Dewey, Jack Dewey, Mya Dewey, Ashton Dewey and Hunter Dewey, sister Mary Dewey of Kenmore, NY.

Preceded in death by his parents, aunt and uncle Jean and Don Banks, and cousin Steve Banks.

A visitation for Daniel will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, IL 60543. Family and friends are asked to gather on Monday, September 23, 2024, at St. Katherine Drexel Church 8S055 Dugan Road Sugar Grove, IL 60554 where a mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
