Daniel Carl "Dan" Brauer, age 80, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, April 18, 2020. He was born August 12, 1939 in Aurora, Il, the son of Enno Carl and Bertha Katherine nee Duy Brauer. Dan worked as a machinist for Aurora Pump for many years. In his spare time, Dan was an avid skier and belonged to the Snow Drifts Ski Club. He was also a very skilled fisherman and enjoyed his many trips to fish at Horseshoe Resort in Minnesota, and he loved to golf and also spent many hours working in his yard. He was a caring neighbor and friend; a man who would help anyone out in their time of need. He will me missed by all his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years Pam Brauer, daughter Becky (Bill) Mortimer, sister Mary Brauer and brother David (Brigitte) Brauer of Germany, sister in law Peni Clements, brother in law Perry (Selina) Brown, many wonderful nieces and nephews, and 2 God- children, Alice Arendt and James Arendt. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws Robert C. and Barbara J. Brown. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
