DALE R. RIIS January 11, 1951 - May 5, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Riis announces on May 5th, 2020 at age, 69 Dale went to be with the Lord. Dale was born in Sandwich IL. He lived and attended school in Sheridan IL. although he recently resided in Rock Island. Dale served in the United States Army and was a man of many trades. Dale's faith was strong with the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Dale is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Riis-Middaugh of Somonauk, IL. Loretta Riis of Oklahoma, Julie Riis-Itter of Sheridan IL. Barbara Riis-Cler of Texas; his daughter Amy Gannaway Howard of Utah; three grandchildren; fifteen nieces and nephews as well as many great friends. Dale was preceded in death by his father, James Bernard Riis; a brother, James Bernard Riis; a sister Mary Catherine Riis-Knierim and a nephew, Chad Richard Middaugh. Dale will have his ashes laid to rest at the Sheridan Cemetery in Sheridan, IL, May 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
