Dale Caruth Hartman Jr. (January 23, 1939–June 2, 2025)

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of Dale C. Hartman Jr., 86, of Oswego passed away Monday morning, June 2, 2025 at his home.

Dale was a dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather (known as PoPo to his great grandchildren), and kind neighbor. He worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Aurora, IL. When he retired he worked at the Orchard Valley Golf Course in Aurora, IL. He cherished his time as a member of the Illinois Jaycees and a devoted Boy Scout leader, often spending leisurely days fishing, playing golf or traveling.

He is survived by his children Cheryl (Richard) Heissler and Greg, two granddaughters Shannon (Matthew) Mellin and Lauren (Liberato) Cascone, seven great grandchildren Makayla, Sadie, Paola, Kayleigh, Giovanni, Dakota and Richard.

He was preceded in death by his wife Christine, and his parents Dale Sr. and Gladys Hartman.

A memorial service will be held from 3 pm to 7 pm., Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, IL 60543
