CRAIG M. LARSON January 19, 1963 - February 22, 2016 Craig Manley Larson, 53, of Aurora formerly of rural Sheridan passed Monday, February 22, 2016 at his home. Craig was born January 19, 1963 in Sandwich to Larry & Sharon (Thorson) Larson. He was a graduate of Serena High School and attended Joliet Junior College. He had served in the US Army from 1982 – 1984 as a medical supply Sargent. For several years he was the owner-operator of Larson Trucking. For the last 20 years he worked at NAPA in Aurora. He was a member of the Newark Lutheran Church. Craig loved sports, golf, concerts, fishing with his family & friends and loved working on his home and yard. Craig brought so much Life, Laughter and Love to his family and friends. We will miss him forever. He is survived by his son Chad Larson of Yorkville; his parents, Larry & Sharon Larson of rural Sheridan; a brother, Kenny (Kim) Larson of Newark; a sister, Lori (Jim) Updike of Sandwich; a brother, Scott Larson of Newark; and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ervin & Rachel Larson; and his maternal grandparents, Manley & Dorothy Thorson. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28th at the Newark Lutheran Church fellowship hall. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Newark Lutheran Church with Pastor Luke Emerson officiating. Interment will be at the Sheridan Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Sheridan American Legion. Pallbearers will be Greg Severson, Gary Severson, Mike Larson, Clint Updike, Howard Johnson and Jim Duffy. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Coop and Jeff Tomlin.
