Constance M. nee Mrowczynski Cherry, age 82 years of Oswego, IL died Friday, June 5, 2020 at her residence. Constance was the daughter of the late Peter A. and Helen G. nee Gaszak Mrowczynski. She proudly worked for the YWCA for many years, was a member of the PTA, Girl Scouts of Chicago, League of Women Voters, an election judge in Glen Ellyn, along with being an avid gardener, reader and enjoyed family genealogy. She is survived by her loving family, children, James J. Cherry of Oswego, IL, Christine (John) Hajek of Mokena, IL, Kevin Cherry of Romeoville, IL, and Connie H. Cherry of Oswego, IL and her grandchildren Michelle Allison Hajek of New Lenox, IL and John Andrew Hajek of Mokena, IL, great grandchildren Joanna Christine and Alexander James. She is also survived by her sister Judy (Gerald) Poces of Mokena, IL. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her dear husband, James H. Cherry whom she married on November 14, 1959 in Chicago, IL, her sisters Barbara Trafton and Christine Smolinski. Private visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 for 12 noon -2:00 P.M. at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, Illinois 60543.
