Connie Marie Shilka, age 55, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born December 14, 1965 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Norbert Peter and Verna Jean nee McDermed Shilka. Connie was a member of Teamsters Local #673 and was employed as a truck driver. She had a love of the outdoors, taking care of her flowers, watching the birds, and taking long bike rides. She was a loving mother and her grandchildren brought her much joy. She maintained an immaculate home and always decorated for every holiday, especially Easter and Halloween. She was proud of her Native American heritage, being a member of the Turtle Clan of the Oneida Nation in Wisconsin. She is survived by her daughters Amber Rose Shilka, Brooklynn Marie Prather; grandchildren Aiyla Marie McGreevy, Nalia Rose Shilka, Braedon Lashaune Shilka, Vivian Marie Prather; sisters: Becky Cantwell, Tammie Shilka, Terrie Shilka, Ann (Dave) Hardin, Leslie (Mark) Kaiser; brothers Kevin (Diane) Shilka, Russell (Kathy) Shilka and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Norbert Peter Shilka, sister Beverly Rose Shilka and niece Cheyanna Rose Shilka. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 3:00 PM until a memorial service at 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S.
