Connie Jean Berry, 64 years old, passed away on February 10, 2026, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her mother, Sandi Ginther, of Montgomery, IL, her husband of 42 years, Jim Berry of Montgomery, IL. Her children Melissa Hazard (Brandon Hazard) of Montgomery, IL and Jacob Berry, of Las Vegas, NV. A loving and caring grandmother to Logan and Luke Hazard. She was a loving sister to Lynda Berkland, John Tweedy, and Robb Tweedy (Sandy Tweedy), all from Oswego, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her father Gerald Tweedy, stepfather Jim (Ax) Ginther, her grandma Faye Breyne and numerous aunts and uncles.
Connie was a wonderful, caring soul that went above and beyond for everyone around her. She will be remembered as someone who put others before herself and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She was employed at Old Post Elementary School as the attendance secretary for 26 years, where she touched the lives of multiple generations of students, parents, and teachers.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for contributions to be made in her memory to either, St. Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org), or The Cystic Fibrous Foundation (http://fundraise.cff.org/westsuburban2026/miraclesformakinlee). The family will receive visitors on Monday the 16th of February 2026 at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a burial service taking place at Lincoln Memorial Park located at 675 US-30, Aurora, IL.
We embrace the time we had with her and cherish her memories going forward. Though taken too soon we can be grateful and blessed for the time we had together. Until we meet again!
