Clifford Edward Bogda, 85 of Oswego, IL. passed away on January 13, 2016, at Rush-Copley Medical Center, Aurora, IL. He was born January 10, 1931 to Walter & Gertrude Bogda. He attended Nazareth Lutheran School & Lindblom Tech, where he played basketball & football. He won a football scholarship to Purdue University. Cliff met the love of his life in high school. He was a loving husband to Marilyn nee Bunyea for almost 65 years and a devoted father. Cliff was a drafting supervisor at Western Electric, AT&T, Alcatel-Lucent (all the same company). He retired after 35 ½ years. This allowed him to volunteer as a senior citizen. He spent many years driving a golf cart at Rush-Copley, at the desk & helped Marilyn take the coffee cart around the hospital. St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Montgomery, IL has been his church home since 1968. He has served as President, VP & many other offices through the years. He enjoyed coordinating the volunteers during a large construction project. He is survived by his wife, his children Leslie (David) Poker, Jeffery (Betty) Bogda, Diane (Edward) Arnold, a son-in-law John Etheredge, sister Carol Nachowicz, niece Leigh (Marc) Johnson, nephew Brian Nachowicz, grandchildren Andrew (Allison) Poker, Nicholas (Sydney) Poker, Graham Bogda, Alex (Jenny Hendrickson) Bogda, Peter Etheredge, Christopher Etheredge, Edward Arnold III, James Arnold, great grandchildren Magdalena, John & Liam Poker. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Nancy Etheredge, 2 infant grandsons Jeffery Graham Bogda & Christopher David Poker as well as brother-in-law John Nachowicz. Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 4 to 8 P.M. at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 South Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11 A.M. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 53 Fernwood, Montgomery, IL In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Luke's Church or to the charity of the donor's choice in Cliff's name.
