Clayton C. Dicks, age 92 years of Montgomery, IL died Monday, May 15, 2017 in Joliet, IL. He was born October 17, 1924 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Fred E. and Lydia nee Jaspela, Dicks.
Clayton was united in marriage to Jennie R. nee Vinci Dicks on June 29, 1947 in Chicago, IL. He worked shipping and receiving for North American Car until his retirement in 1983. He served his country proudly in the US Navy, was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, a lifetime member of Oak Lawn IL VFW Johnson Phelps Post 5220.
He is survived by his two daughters Lydia (John) White of Romeoville, IL, Gloria (Larry) Wiercioch of Plainfield, IL, two sons Charles (Linda) Dicks of Bolingbrook, IL and Richard (Shelly) Dicks of Crown Point, IN, grandchildren Katrina, Laura, Jennifer, Laura, Paul, Brian, Nicole and Joseph and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jennie, parents, sister Sena Tinerella, Eleanore Klien, and brother Emil Dicks.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL 60543. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. Burial with Military Honors will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
