Christine Marie "Chris" LaFrance, age 75, of Oswego, IL, former resident of Brookfield, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. She was born July 2, 1946 the daughter of Robert E. and Marjorie J. nee Burke LaFrance. Chris graduated from Riverside-Brookfield High School in 1964. After her graduation, she was hired as an office manager for Mutual Trust Life Insurance Company in Oak Brook, IL and retired in 2003. She also worked as a crossing guard for Brookfield schools. She was active in the Business and Professional Woman's Club, serving as president and treasurer. She was an active member at St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and collecting tea pots. She is survived by her sister Michele (David) Pliska of Fairhope, AL, brothers Stephan (Stephanie) LaFrance of Roscoe, IL, Robert LaFrance of Garden Homes, IL, an aunt Shirley Kelly of Rockville Centre, NY, 7 nieces, 2 nephews, 12 great-nieces, 16 great-nephews, 4 great-great nieces and 4 great-great nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated AT 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hesed House, 659 S. River Street, Aurora, IL 60506.
