In Loving Memory of Christine Faltz
[Oswego, IL] - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine C. Faltz, who departed this world on Feb. 28, 2026 at the age of 78. She was born on December 13, 1947 to William H.M and Josephine A. Koch. She married Richard A. Faltz on June 14, 1969 in Chicago, IL. Their love and devotion to each other has been a remarkable joy to experience for the past 56 years. A dedicated member of the community and the heart of her family, Christine lived a life defined by welcoming hospitality and an unwavering devotion to others.
A Legacy of Learning and Partnership
Christine's professional life was a testament to her work ethic and her heart for service. Following graduation from Northern Illinois University in 1969, she served as a beloved elementary school teacher, where she did far more than teach curriculum; she nurtured the spirits of hundreds of children, seeing the potential in every student who walked through her door.
Beyond the classroom, Christine was a formidable partner in business with her husband, Richard Faltz. Together, they navigated the challenges of entrepreneurship, building a legacy of hard work and integrity. Her sharp mind and steady hand were essential to their success.
A Mother to Everyone
Fondly known as a "Mother to everyone," Christine's warmth, kindness, and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She possessed the rare ability to make every person she met feel seen, heard, and deeply cherished. Whether you were a lifelong friend or a stranger met in passing, Christine had a way of drawing you into her warmth. Her home was a sanctuary of kindness, where no one left hungry and everyone left feeling a little bit more important than when they arrived. Chris was happiest when caring for her family, home, and friends.
