Christine A. Becker, age 73, of Montgomery, IL passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. She was born September 18, 1952 in Watertown, NY to Ward and Rose (Toper) Becker.
A woman of many interests, Chris found joy in needlepoint, singing, had a passion for all sports and earned her lifeguard certification. She enjoyed spending time at lunch outings with her friends, sharing stories and laughter. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious, and her ability to connect with others made her a cherished member of her community. Chris was a dedicated member of St. Anne Catholic Church, where she found solace and strength. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she took comfort in her church family. Chris's kindness extended beyond her immediate circle; she had a way of making everyone feel special and valued. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She is remembered not only for her kindness and strength but also for the laughter, warmth and good humor she shared with everyone she met. Though she may have left this world, her love and light will continue to shine brightly in our memories.
Chris is survived by her brothers Ward James (Wanda Boggs) Becker, Robert Becker and Terry (Joan) Becker, her niece Courtney (Dylan) Becker, her nephew Dan (Brittney) Becker, one great niece and two great nephews. Also surviving are several extended family members and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Catherine Kush and Karen Berry, and her brother in law Kenneth Kush.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 10am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass in Oswego, IL with burial following at Pearce Cemetery in Oswego, IL
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Christine's name be made to the National Kidney Foundation, St. Anne Catholic Church, or a charity of the donor's choice. These contributions will honor her legacy and support causes close to her heart.
