Chester A. "Chet" Zmarzlinski, Sr., age 68, a very proud husband, father and grandfather of Plattville, IL, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015 after a very hard fought battle. He was born January 1, 1947 in Chicago, IL , the son of Chester Peter and Marie nee Ratulowski Zmarzlinski. Chet proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. After his military service Chet worked as a manager for UPS for over 30 years. He was a Trustee and founding father of the Village of Plattville. Chet was a NASCAR enthusiast. He is survived by his wife Margo Zmarzlinski of Plattville, IL, children Kimberly (Jesse) Maratea of Oswego, IL, Stevan Bista of Virginia, Sherry (Robert) Steinke of Bolingbrook, IL, CJ Zmarzlinski of Nebraska, grandchildren Craig (fiancée Sarah VonHolten), Paige and Alexis Sullivan, Bailey Maratea, Patricia, Paisley and Emily Bista, Andy, Sammie and Zoe Zmarzlinski. He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Tracey Zmarzlinsk. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
