It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Chuck Taylor age 87 of Sheridan, IL

At rest on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Pavilion of Ottawa, Ottawa, IL.

He was born May 10, 1937, in Anderson, Indiana the son of the late Ralph and Ruth (nee Hoagland) Taylor. Chuck proudly served in the United States Army as a Private First Class 1954-1957.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Vicki (nee Ingles) Taylor of 30 years, his children, Tina Louise Taylor, Tammy Elizabeth Taylor (Dawn Etchason), Jamie (Craig) Castrejon, Shelly (Bob) Guelde, and Justin (Kimberly) Pender. Thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, siblings, Linda Taylor and Glenn "Butch" Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Dwayne Edward Taylor, Crystal Star Taylor, Granddaughter, Jasmine (Jamie), siblings, Albert, Roy and Billy Taylor, nephew Jimmy T. Short and niece Melanie Taylor.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 NOON with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Army, at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home 333 West Church Street Sheridan, IL 60551.
