On October 23, 2020, Charles Thomas Connelly, 81 years old , of Oswego, lost his courageous 10 year battle with COPD.
Chuck was born and lived in Chicago, joined the Marines after high school, and met and married Mary Fortier upon his return to Chicago.
He began a 30+ year career in the printing industry, and in 1986 founded a graphic arts company in Downers Grove, IL called Spectrum Color, from which he retired in 1995.
He moved to Arizona with Mary, and enjoyed many close friendships there, especially with Dan and Martha Russo and their children, Amanda, Allie and Sammy. In 2017, Chuck and Mary decided to relocate to Oswego to spend his remaining years near his children and grandkids.
Chuck loved following politics and various sports, and was a huge Tom Brady & New England Patriots fan. He loved to laugh watching Larry David and Married with Children TV shows. Chuck was a staunch Republican, and a supporter of military and law enforcement. He is missed daily and will be remembered eternally. Rest in peace Pops!
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Mary; sons, Brad, Michael and Keith; grandchildren, Nicholas, Gabrielle and Jacob; brother, James (Kathy) Connelly; sister, Katherine Barnhart; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery; daughter, Jennifer; his parents, Edward and Alice Connelly; and his brother-in-law, William Barnhart.
