Cary Hessler, 66, of Montgomery, IL, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022. Cary retired after a long career at JC Penny and Goodwill and spent her retirement doing the things she loved- sewing, scrapbooking, hanging out in the swimming pool, and enjoying classic muscle cars. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren; it brought her such joy to sew outfits for them, spend afternoons baking and frosting sugar cookies together, and doing various crafts. She will always be fondly remembered for her love of animals, especially dogs (and maybe Jellybean), Mickey Mouse, Bunco, and butter. Cary is survived by her beloved sons, Brent (Sam), and Brad (Jamie), her grandchildren, Charley Mae, Lucy, and Hailey, and her sister Chris (Mike) Hill. She will also be dearly missed by her Bunco Babes, the Route 66 Club, and her scrapbooking group. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Laura Hessler. A celebration of Cary's life will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd. Oswego, IL 60543.
