Carol C. Sherlock, age 71, of Delavan, WI, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Mercyhealth Hospital in Janesville, WI. She was born December 27, 1947 in Oak Park, IL, the daughter of Eric and Anna (nee Loban) Nelson. Prior to her retirement, Carol worked in customer service, most recently at Computronics. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting and doll collecting. She was a nature enthusiast and especially enjoyed boat rides, fishing and bird watching. Socializing with friends at the Delavan Club was also a favorite pastime. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her adoring grandchildren and beloved dog Ginger. Left to treasure her legacy of precious memories are her husband of 49 years Richard Sherlock, children Lisa (Daniel) Metzger, Kevin (Jennifer) Sherlock, grandchildren Adam, Jason, Melanie, Eveline, Abigail, sister Joanne Rix, sister-in-law Mary (Bill) Finn and nieces and nephews Bill, Linda, Mary, Rix Family, Bill, Mary and Fred. She was preceded in death by her son Richard, her parents, and brother-in-law Bill Finn. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a brief service at 7:00 PM at Dunn Family Funeral Home, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
