Carol Joyce Bartholomew, age 85, of Glen Ellyn, IL formerly of Oswego, IL died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Belmont Village Senior Living in Carol Stream, IL. She was born January 12, 1933 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Robert K and Veronica nee Schopp Stalker. Carol prior to retirement had worked at Standard Coil in Aurora, IL and Anchor Brush Co. in Montgomery, IL. Carol is survived by two sons Timothy Bartholomew of Naperville, IL, Michael (Deborah) Bartholomew of Yorkville, IL, three grandchildren Jamie Bartholomew, Jenna Bartholomew, Brian Bartholomew, a great granddaughter Emma Bartholomew, three sisters Kathleen Schneider, Charlotte Christian and Sr Alice Marie Stalker, SJ. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Bartholomew, a sister Janet Allen, two brothers James and Robert Stalker. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 4:00 PM until a memorial service at 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Cremation was accorded the wish of the family followed by private interment at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL.
