Carmen Robles (lovingly known as Carmín), 77, of Ponce, Puerto Rico, passed away July 25, 2021, surrounded by her five children, Milton Robles Jr., Carmen (Ivy) Rodriguez, Nelly Robles, Roberto Robles, and Hector (Tito) Robles. She was born to the late Guillermo Plaza Torres and Maria Torres Plaza in Playa de Ponce, Puerto Rico, on March 24, 1944. Carmen attended Ruiz Belvis and Santiago Gonzalez High School. She graduated from Shema Theological Seminary and Bible College. Carmen married Dolores Milton Robles in 1963 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Carmen was an accomplished singer performing in her native Puerto Rico. She passed her appreciation of music to all her sons. Carmen was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She had a passion for gardening and in particular, she loved growing orchids and roses. Carmen was a firm believer of the gospel. She lived to fulfill Proverbs 31:30 "Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman who feareth the Almighty, she shall be praised." Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL, 60543.
