Brenda Faye West, 53, of Yorkville, IL passed away on May 16, 2021 after a long illness. She was born on October 11, 1967 in Aurora to the late Thomas and Mary Joyce nee Blair West. Brenda was an avid animal lover, and raised many dogs and cats in her life. She was a devoted homemaker and raising her children brought her so much joy. When they were older, Brenda went back to school at IVCC to get her certificate as a Dental Assistant, a job she loved. Brenda is survived by the love of her life, Michael E. Bywater of Yorkville, IL; her three sons, Tyler R. (Ally) Maier of Katy, TX; Jacob A. Maier (Hannah Williams) of DeKalb, IL; and William A. Maier (Faith Sheridan) of Lake Holiday, IL. She is also survived by her beloved grandbabies, Gabriella "Big Bella" Maier, Liam "Sweet Liam" Sprude, and Emelia "Emmers" Sprude, who gave her such joy in life. Two brothers, Gerald R. (Rhonda) West, of Lincreek, MO, and Ronald (Sherry) West of Hamilton, MS; one sister, Roxanne Connell of Troy, MO; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins are also surviving. Her cherished dog Chevy is also surviving. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ray West, and Mary Joyce nee Blair West.
