Blanche Marie Raab, 90, of Elmhurst, IL, passed away peacefully at the Reserve of Oswego on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Born in Elmhurst, IL, to Raphael and Laura (Schumacher) Raab. Blanche loved to travel, especially with her best friend- her sister, Norma Jeanne Rambow. Together they enjoyed trying their luck at different casinos. She also loved to read, collected Hummel figurines (including some from Germany while on her travels), and enjoyed watching Cubs games. Her Grandfather, Henry Schumacher, was the first Mayor of Elmhurst. Blanche is preceded in death by her parents, Raphael Raab and Laura Raab. She is survived by her beloved sister, Norma Jeanne (the late William A.) Rambow, and her loving niece and nephews: William R. (Bernadette) Rambow, Betsy Jeanne (Keith) Konkolewski, Anthony M. Rambow (Sherry Kaley), and Carl A. Rambow. She is also survived by her beloved grand nieces and nephews; Claire and Kenneth Konkolewski, Ryan and Cassidy Rambow, Courtney (Corey) Schroeder, and Jamie (Jeffery) Gardels, and her great grand nieces and nephew Payton Schroeder, Emmett Schroeder and Abby Gardels. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service at 11:30 A.M. at Dunn Family Funeral Home at 1801 S. Douglas Rd. Oswego, IL 60543.
