Beverly Hook, 80, of rural Sheridan passed surrounded by her loving family Tuesday morning, January 8, 2019 at her home. Beverly was born May 29, 1938 in Oswego to Glenn & Blanche Marian (Hill) Leifheit Sr. She had retired as a secretary for the Cargill Co. in Aurora after 35 years and her great joy in life was being with her grandchildren, great grandchildren. Beverly was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. She is survived by her four children, Gene (Melinda) Hook of Sheridan, Darren (Lorena) Hook of Sheridan, Dale Hook of Millington, Peggy Walker of Sheridan; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Glenn Leifheit Jr. and a bother & sister in infancy. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Jacobsgaard officiating at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. in Newark The family would like to extend to the Heartland Hospice their gratitude for the loving care Beverly received.
