Bernard J. "Bud" Vorderer Jr., age 75, of Aurora, IL, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born January 21, 1943 in Evergreen Park, IL the son of the late Bernard Sr. and Laverne Vorderer (nee Paeth).
Bud was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL for over 23 years. He enjoyed coin collecting and was a member of the American Numismatic Association. He also enjoyed wine collecting, scouting, camping, and especially traveling; having driven his family throughout the contiguous 48 States.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Marilyn, 2 children; B.J. (Sue) Vorderer of Naperville, and Linda (Tom) Finn of Aurora, 7 grandchildren; Justin, Connor, Logan, Brady Finn, Hannah, Abigail, Nathan Vorderer, a sister, Cindy (Don) Pezzuto, a brother, Jeff (Jan) Vorderer, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents and a brother Greg.
Gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 701 S. Eola Rd., Aurora. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, N Columbia Ave, Naperville, IL 60540. Memorial Donations may be made to The Boy Scouts of America, PO Box 152079, Irving, TX 75015, or Loyola Cancer Center, 2160 S. First Avenue, Maywood, IL 60153. In his memory hug a Nurse.
