Beatrice J Bodine, age 95, of Oswego passed away September 1st in Rosiclare, Illinois where she lived near her daughter since June 2021. She was born in Dakota County Minnesota. Newly married she lived in Providence, Rhode Island, Cleveland Ohio, South Hadly Massachusetts and Sycamore Illinois before settling in the Oswego area in 1958. She loved to read her entire life and was extremely active in genealogy, and several clubs that she loved - Daughters of the American Revolution, 19th Century Club, their church, and was a life member of the Associated Daughters of Early American Witches. She was very proud that her husband Bob and she traveled to all 48 states while RV traveling after retirement. They did go to Hawaii while she was still working and she went on a cruise to Alaska in her late 80s to complete her desire to see all 50 states. She was always very proud of her Mother who earned a Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1915. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2006, her parents John and Marion Thompson of MN, her siblings Shirley Mackey of TN, Gordon Thompson of MN, and Glen Thompson of IL. She is survived by her daughters Gayle Bodine of Colorado, Jane Bodine of Naperville, IL and Susan Johnson (Mark) of Cave in Rock, IL. She also is survived by grandson Joshua Lederman (Ashley) of Carol Stream, IL, granddaughter Heather Bodine Lederman of Chicago, grandson Patrick Bodine Ellison of Colorado, Step granddaughters Alyson Johnson of Plainfield IL, and Ginger Newport (Trevis) of Cherry Valley CA, and three great grandchildren, Joshua Merrill, Joscelyn Newport and Aiden Newport all of CA, and numerous double cousins, cousins, nieces and nephews. Cremation was in Rosiclare, IL and her cremains will be buried with her late husband in Pearce Cemetary, Oswego, IL
