Barbie A. Poppen, 78, of Yorkville, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at her home. She was born March 16, 1944 in Elkton, SD, daughter of Raymond and Ida Kontz nee Hamer. Barbie was a Real Estate Agent for 30+ years. She loved horses and taking care of her home. Survivors include her two sons, Jeffery Poppen of Hinckley and Mark Poppen of Yorkville; four brothers, Ray Kontz, Pete Kontz, Leroy Kontz and Charlie Kontz; two sisters, Shirley Nielsen and Linda Nielsen; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
